Civil Engineer - Highways

About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Highways & Civil Engineering team in Perth, Western Australia. You will work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including highways, rail, ports and airports, supporting both local and national initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide civil engineering advice and produce high‑quality designs for infrastructure projects.
• Perform detailed analysis and design tasks in line with technical standards, client requirements and Arcadis quality processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders and multidisciplinary contributors to ensure coordinated project delivery.
• Contribute to project commercial and operational success by applying sound project management principles.
• Assist in the development and integration of BIM and digital engineering practices to support sustainable design and safety outcomes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on design experience in highways and infrastructure projects, preferably in Western Australia.
• Experience on Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) road projects is highly regarded.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and commitment to professional development, ideally working towards CPEng accreditation.
• Strong knowledge of local design standards such as the Austroads Guide to Road Design and MRWA Supplements.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
