Child and Family Psychologist

About the role

Armidale Community Health is recruiting a Child and Family Psychologist (Psychologist / Senior Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist) to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary paediatric team. You will work with paediatricians, child and family health nurses, diabetes and dietetics teams and other allied health professionals to provide family-centred care that supports children and families, such as helping families cope with a new type 1 diabetes diagnosis and offering relationship counselling.

Required profile

• General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia via AHPRA.
• A postgraduate clinical psychology qualification accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council, of at least two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent, shown on the Psychology Board website.
• Demonstrated experience working with children, young people and families, including assessment, intervention and evaluation of clinical outcomes.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a New Zealand passport; temporary visa holders may only be considered if no suitable local candidate is found.

What we offer

• Pay of $83,670 to $122,465 plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging.
• Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme: up to $10,000 in the first 12 months and up to $5,000 each year thereafter, based on a minimum 18-month commitment.
