Chief Operating Officer

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to join a well‑established Australian‑owned business that is entering a phase of operational transformation. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Chief Operating Officer will own the end‑to‑end operational function, driving efficiency, scalability and quality across the supply chain and manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the operations function covering manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, warehousing, logistics and safety.
• Develop and execute an offshore manufacturing strategy with trusted partners across Asia.
• Improve supply chain processes, systems, planning and delivery performance.
• Strengthen quality‑control frameworks for local and overseas production.
• Build and mentor an operations leadership team that delivers high performance and accountability.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director and executive team to align operational initiatives with commercial goals.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, commercially focused leader with deep experience in manufacturing, supply chain and supplier‑led production environments.
• Proven track record of working with offshore suppliers, preferably in Asia.
• Demonstrated ability to improve supply chain performance and reduce operational costs.
• Strong understanding of quality control, supplier management and production planning.
• Experience leading warehousing, logistics, procurement and manufacturing teams.
• Commercial acumen and confidence engaging with senior executive leadership.
