Chef – FIFO 14/7 roster in Townsville, QLD

About the role

Sodexo is seeking experienced chefs for its regional Queensland operations, working on a FIFO basis from Townsville. You will be part of a busy village catering environment, delivering quality meals that keep mining communities running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals across breakfast, crib and dinner services.
• Work in a high‑volume catering environment.
• Maintain food safety and HACCP standards.
• Deliver consistent quality and presentation.
• Work as part of a supportive kitchen team.

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in bulk catering or high‑volume kitchens.
• FIFO, DIDO or remote site experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Ability to work in remote environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
• Full Australian working rights.
