Chef de Partie – Catering Team

About the role

Clayton Utz, one of Australia's oldest and largest independent law firms, is looking for a Chef de Partie to join its in-house Catering team in Perth. The role supports the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for employees and clients and is a full-time, permanent position. Normal hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with occasional evening or weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food for client functions and events, staff events (morning and afternoon teas), working lunches and the on-site café
• Help prepare menus for all meals and catered events
• Mentor and train kitchen staff and ensure food is prepared and presented to company standards
• Oversee kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and compliance with WA health and safety regulations
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, inventory and stock levels, manage food waste and keep costs down
• Assist with online ordering, invoicing and pricing
• Step in for the Sous Chef when required

Required profile

• Relevant hospitality or culinary qualification
• 3 years of full-time experience in a fine dining, corporate or catering environment
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and strong teamwork skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of day-to-day kitchen operations, including invoicing
• Adherence to food safety, hygiene and allergen protocols
• Attention to detail and good written and oral communication
