Chainwire Machine Operator & Pick Packer

About the role

Supaguard Fencing is seeking a reliable Chainwire Machine Operator who will also handle pick‑packing duties in its Smithfield manufacturing facility. You will work alongside a supportive production team to ensure high‑quality fencing products are produced and prepared for shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate chainwire fencing machines safely and efficiently.
• Monitor machine performance and address any issues promptly.
• Inspect finished products for quality standards.
• Pack, wrap and palletise fencing rolls for dispatch.
• Load wire coils when required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to lift and handle large fencing rolls.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions safely.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Forklift Licence (LF) – advantage.
