CFO Advisory Manager - Finance Advisory

About the role

PwC is hiring a Manager for its Melbourne CFO Advisory team within Assurance. You will help optimise finance functions by advising clients on a range of services that solve problems while balancing commercial insight and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Finance function modernisation: helping clients move from transaction processing to data-led insights for trusted decision-making
• Process optimisation: process modernisation, activity analysis, risk and control design and continuous monitoring
• Finance system implementation support: business case, chart of accounts design, program management and control design/assurance
• Cost optimisation: defining operating models and commercial benefits to fund modernisation programs
• Transactional change: pre- or post-deal support covering governance, accounting, integration and synergy realisation

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, external audit or a related field
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• CA qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience leading project teams to deliver finance projects or internal improvement activities

Required skills

• Risk and controls, process optimisation, financial reporting, technical accounting, management accounting or budgeting
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience applying accounting standards
• Critical analytical skills and attention to detail, following PwC Risk and Quality guidelines
