CAT 777 Haul Truck Operator - FIFO Gove, NT

About the role

Through its partnership with Rio Tinto, Chandler Macleod is recruiting an experienced CAT 777 dump truck operator to support day-to-day mining operations in the Gove region of the Northern Territory. The role reports to the site Supervisor and works alongside experienced crews on a safety-focused team. It is a FIFO position from Cairns and Darwin to Gove, NT, on an 8/6 roster.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Caterpillar 777 haul trucks safely and efficiently
• Carry out pre-starts and routine equipment checks
• Haul ore and waste in line with mine plans, procedures and production schedules
• Report hazards, defects, near-misses and incidents promptly
• Maintain accurate operational records and support a strong safety culture

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience operating CAT 777 or similar mining haul trucks
• Previous mine site or production mining experience (highly regarded)
• Current Australian driver licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
