Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor for its Darwin operations team. Reporting to the Mechanical Team Lead, you will lead a team of up to 20 personnel and oversee critical mechanical maintenance across a major operational facility. The role is permanent and full-time, with a Monday to Friday roster supporting a strong work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of up to 20 mechanical tradespeople and contractors.
• Coordinate preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with site procedures, statutory requirements and permit systems.
• Work with operations, planning and engineering teams to optimise maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.
• Conduct work site inspections, safety observations and risk assessments.
• Drive Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) initiatives and monitor maintenance performance, productivity and quality.
• Support shutdowns, major maintenance campaigns and turnarounds.
• Review maintenance documentation and work orders, and identify ways to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.

Required profile

• Mechanical trade qualification or relevant engineering qualification.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor in LNG or oil and gas.
• Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
