Casual Support Worker – Jindabyne

About the role

Wellways is offering an exciting casual Support Worker opportunity based in Jindabyne, NSW. The role involves delivering a variety of services to participants so they can live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. Travel with participants outside the town is required, so a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's licence are needed. Open availability is highly regarded but not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assistance and support with daily life, including personal care and domestic activities
• Help with social and community participation and skill development activities
• Support the NDIS program at the request of the employer

Required profile

• Current valid driver's licence and a registered, insured vehicle
• National Police Check completed within the last 12 months and a Working with Children Check
• NDIS Orientation Certificate (free online course) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Minimum Certificate III in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or a related field (desired but not essential)
• Experience and knowledge of physical disabilities is an advantage
• Manual handling training would be desired

What we offer

• Casual pay of $43.08 to $77.54 per hour (including penalty rates), plus superannuation and salary packaging
