About the role
Matrix Education, a tuition college for primary and secondary students, is hiring a casual Physics Teacher for its Box Hill campus. You will teach regular weekly classes during the school term, starting from 4:30 pm on weekdays, and can also take on substitute teaching shifts. Lessons and assessments are prepared for you, so preparation is minimal.
Key responsibilities
- Teach regular weekly classes throughout the academic term; all lesson materials and resources are provided.
- Teach during weekday sessions in the VIC school holiday period.
- Monitor students' academic progress by marking short weekly quizzes.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Education or a subject-matter-related discipline.
- Genuine passion for teaching.
- Previous experience teaching secondary science in a classroom setting.
- Extensive knowledge of the current VCE Physics curriculum.
