Casual Orderly - Adelaide Hospital

About the role

Calvary Adelaide Hospital is looking for a Casual Orderly. The Orderly is accountable to the Housekeeping Manager for a range of ancillary and portering duties supporting the 24-hour service of the hospital. The role works as part of a team under general direction, maintaining confidentiality and showing empathy and courtesy to patients and staff, while helping keep the workplace safe.

Key responsibilities

• Porter and transport patients, equipment, blood, specimens, records and supplies
• Provide patient assistance to staff
• Work in a fun, interesting, dynamic and supportive team environment

Required profile

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Knowledge of and commitment to a customer service culture in healthcare
• Ability to exercise judgment and initiative in daily work
• Clean, tidy appearance and friendly, helpful, courteous manner
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people
