Casual Laboratory Testing Technician

About the role

This casual position involves performing laboratory and field testing in line with Australian and Main Roads standards. The role supports the team by ensuring accurate data capture, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out testing according to Australian and Main Roads standards.
• Identify and report non‑conformances to supervisors or managers.
• Enter test data into the appropriate accreditation‑specific systems.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure functionality.
• Adhere to any required State or Federal licensing obligations.
• Follow the company’s HR policy manual and OH&S procedures.
• Comply with the Laboratory Quality & Laboratory Procedures Manual.

• Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow established procedures.
• Strong attention to detail when reporting non‑conformances.
• Reliability in punctuality and task completion.
• Professional and respectful attitude toward clients.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Australian Main Roads testing standards.
