Casual Home Care Worker (Specialised Carer)

About the role

HammondCare, an independent not-for-profit organisation providing home care, dementia care and palliative care, is recruiting casual home care workers across Coffs Harbour, Nambucca Heads, Urunga, Boambee, Toormina, Bellingen and surrounding areas. You will provide practical day-to-day care for older people, helping them stay independent in their own homes while building meaningful relationships and offering companionship.

Key responsibilities

• Provide essential, practical care for older people in their own homes
• Travel to clients' homes using your own car, paid at $1.05 per km plus paid travel time
• Be flexible to meet the changing needs of home care clients

Required profile

• A people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• Previous experience in aged or community care, or wanting to start a career in aged care
• Valid driver's licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum third party property insurance)
• Female applicants only, as female sex is a genuine occupational qualification under the applicable anti-discrimination legislation
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is ideal; training is provided to all care workers and no experience is required
