Casual Food Service Officer

About the role

Metro North Health is recruiting several casual Food Service Officers for its STARS facility in Brisbane North. The role supports patient care by helping prepare, plate and deliver meals, and maintains high standards of food safety and hygiene. It is a varied, hands-on position in a fast-paced team, with a seven-day rotating roster.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, plate and distribute patient meals and beverages in line with dietary requirements and approved procedures.
• Carry out kitchen operations including dishwashing, tray stripping, trolley handling and cleaning duties.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness standards at all times.
• Deliver efficient, customer-focused service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Safely perform manual handling tasks and work across a seven-day rotating roster.
