Casual Cleaning Team Member – Hospital

About the role

St Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney is looking for a motivated and experienced housekeeping cleaner to join its Environmental Services department at the Darlinghurst campus, which includes the Private and Public Hospital, The Sacred Heart Sanatorium and The St Vincent's Clinic and Precinct Partners. The role is casual with a rotational roster of 7 days a week, covering daytime shifts (6am, 7:30am and 10:00am starts) and afternoon/evening shifts (from 2pm to 6pm starts).

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in rooms, public areas and clinical areas.
• Clean thoroughly and consistently, following infection prevention and control procedures.
• Be cross-trained in hospital cleaning and infection prevention and control.

Required profile

• Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Awareness of work health and safety and safety principles.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or an Australian visa granting work rights for this role; visa sponsorship is not available.
