Casual Carer - Night Shift

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is recruiting Casual Carers for its Elizabeth Lodge aged care facility. The position provides high-quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. Two shift patterns are available: Tuesday and Thursday nights (9:30pm to 7:30am) and Wednesday and Thursday nights (9:30pm to 7:30pm).

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and give physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, making sure their needs and preferences are met.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care in an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent, recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
• Preferred: strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and independently, understanding of residents' dignity and independence, alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos, flexible availability including mornings, afternoons or nights.
