Cargo Agent - Part Time

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in aviation services, is looking for a Cargo Handling Agent in Melbourne on a part-time basis. The role involves handling incoming and outgoing cargo with attention to detail while following safety and security protocols. Training is provided, whether you have previous experience as a warehouse cargo agent or are new to the freight industry.

Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading of cargo
• Safe handling and transportation of goods
• Regular inspections of cargo for security and safety compliance
• Accurate documentation and processing of import and export information
• Collaborating with team members to keep operations efficient and the workspace clean and organised
• Following all Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Required profile

• Valid state driver's licence
• Preferred experience in forklift operations
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to lift up to 32 kg and handle manual tasks
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays, and outside in all weather
