Care Worker – Support Older Residents in Kirrawee

About the role

Anglicare is looking for a kind‑hearted individual to join the Donald Robinson Village team as a permanent part‑time Care Worker. You will support older residents in the Kirrawee community, helping them live independently and enjoy a high quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Visit residents in their homes to assist with daily needs and promote independence.
• Complete regular village rounds with a co‑worker and handle general village tasks.
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking for individual residents.
• Provide social support both one‑on‑one and in group settings, encouraging participation in activities.
• Deliver personal care such as showering, dressing, and grooming.
• Offer transport for appointments, shopping, and social outings, individually or in groups.
• Provide respite care while family carers take a break, either in the resident’s home or at the overnight respite cottage.

Required profile

• Compassionate and kind‑hearted, with a genuine desire to make a difference for older people.
• Enjoys building relationships and supporting community members.
• Reliable and able to work the agreed part‑time schedule, typically Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
