Care Aide - Port Kennedy and surrounds

About the role

Silverchain is recruiting an experienced Care Aide for a casual role, Monday to Friday between 7am and 3pm, covering Port Kennedy and surrounding areas in Western Australia. Applicants must live in one of the listed towns and deliver personal care and support while travelling between clients' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and support that promotes client independence
• Provide personal care: showering, grooming and toileting
• Assist with medication as required
• Prepare meals and support clients with nutrition needs
• Provide domestic assistance and general housekeeping
• Offer social support and community engagement
• Follow a predetermined schedule while travelling between clients' homes
• Use a mobile app to access and follow digital schedules and care plans independently

Required profile

• Reside in Golden Bay, Karnup, Lakelands, Madora Bay, Meadow Springs, Parklands, Port Kennedy, San Remo, Secret Harbour, Silver Sands, Singleton, Stake Hill or Warnbro
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC or Disability highly desirable; those with a relevant certificate need at least 3 months of relevant care worker experience, others 6+ months (FTE)
• Experience in a home care or community setting highly desirable
• Valid driver's licence with unrestricted access to a registered, insured vehicle in good condition
• Willingness to work autonomously in the community, following a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app

What we offer

• $46.11 per hour inclusive of 25% casual loading, plus superannuation
