Care Aide - Lancelin and surrounds

About the role

Silverchain is recruiting Care Aides for a casual role in Lancelin and surrounding areas, mainly needed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 8am and 4pm. Applicants must live in one of the listed towns and deliver personal care and support while travelling between clients' homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and support that promotes client independence
• Provide personal care: showering, grooming and toileting
• Assist with medication as required
• Prepare meals and support clients with nutrition needs
• Provide domestic assistance and general housekeeping
• Offer social support and community engagement
• Follow a predetermined schedule while travelling between clients' homes
• Use a mobile app to access and follow digital schedules and care plans independently

Required profile

• Resident of Caraban, Gabbadah, Guilderton, Woodridge, Seabird, Ledge Point, Karakin, Lancelin, Nilgen, Wedge Island, Neergabby or Wanerie
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC or Disability highly desirable; those with a relevant certificate need at least 3 months of relevant care worker experience, others 6+ months (FTE)
• Experience in a home care or community setting highly desirable
• Valid driver's licence with unrestricted access to a registered, insured vehicle in good condition
• Ability to work autonomously in the community, following a digital schedule and care plan via a mobile app

• $46.11 per hour inclusive of 25% loading, plus superannuation
