Calypso Tech Business Analyst (Perm/Contract)

About the role

Hastha Solutions is seeking an experienced Calypso Tech Business Analyst to support critical trading and post-trade platforms in a financial markets technology environment. The role covers the end-to-end trade lifecycle across Calypso Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office modules, with a focus on post-trade processing, regulatory compliance and operational stability. It works in Agile delivery frameworks and supports asset classes such as Rates, FX, Derivatives, Repos and Fixed Income.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements for trading and post-trade processes
• Translate requirements into Calypso functional specifications, configuration requirements and system behaviour
• Analyse and support post-trade processes including confirmations, settlements, margining, reconciliations and reporting
• Partner with architects and developers so solutions fit Calypso architecture and best practices
• Support Calypso configuration and customisation, including workflows, trade attributes, pricing components and reference data
• Perform impact analysis for change requests, regulatory updates and product upgrades
• Support testing, including functional testing, UAT support, test scenario validation and defect triage
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Australian or New Zealand citizen or PR holder only
• Experience in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work in complex, regulated financial services environments

Required skills

• Calypso trading and risk management platform (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office)
• Exposure to Calypso Automated Testing Tool (CATT)
• Knowledge of capital markets: trade lifecycle, asset classes (Rates, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Repos) and post-trade processes
• Requirements documentation tools (e.g. Confluence, SharePoint) and Agile tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps)
• Process modelling (e.g. Visio) and basic SQL (preferred)

The engagement is for 6 months, with possible extension.
