Cadet Drafter - Mechanical

About the role
This new cadet position supports AECOM's growing Adelaide team, working across multi‑functional projects in mining infrastructure, oil & gas, fuel systems and renewable energy. You will develop drafting and design skills while collaborating with project managers, engineers and digital specialists.
Key responsibilities
- Produce mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, including isometric drawings, P&ID’s, 3D models, single line and protection control diagrams.
- Develop equipment layouts, wiring and control diagrams, cable schedules and schematics.
- Assist lead designers in aligning design standards and processes with the Energy business line.
- Liaise with designers and project engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
Required profile
- Positive attitude, good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Interest in gaining electrical and mechanical design knowledge on the job.
- Enrolled or eligible to enroll in an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar qualification.
