Cadet Drafter – Civil Team (Sydney)

About the role

We are looking for a Cadet Drafter to join our Civil team in Sydney. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience on a variety of civil works and infrastructure projects across New South Wales, while you develop your drafting skills under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing schematic and production drawings under supervision.
• Perform general office duties and support senior drafters with task analysis.
• Produce construction‑level documentation and ensure correct printing and issuing procedures.
• Maintain vault data and follow data‑management processes.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree program.
• Willingness to learn civil infrastructure concepts and CAD technologies.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions accurately.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a multidisciplinary environment.
• Adaptability to changing situations and full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Proficiency or interest in using the Autodesk suite of products (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Basic understanding of CAD drafting principles.
