Buyer – Confectionary

About the role

The Reject Shop is expanding rapidly and needs a proactive Buyer to manage its confectionary category. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver products that meet customer expectations for quality, value, and experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the confectionary category end‑to‑end, ensuring timely delivery of samples, purchase orders and promotional activities.
• Communicate with local and overseas suppliers to obtain quotes, samples and product information.
• Assist with catalogue planning, marketing submissions and artwork programmes.
• Run merchandise reports, monitor competitor pricing and support category strategy development.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in buying, merchandising or procurement, preferably within FMCG.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Confidence in supplier negotiations and purchase‑order management.
• Commercial mindset with knowledge of pricing strategies and margin calculations.
