Business Manager Client Service - Defence

About the role

MSS Security, one of Australia's leading security companies, is recruiting a Business Manager Client Service for its Defence portfolio. The role sits within a customer-focused team and is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all customers and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the workforce so that service delivery meets contract requirements
• Support recruitment to build a pool of security-cleared personnel for expected demand and surge needs
• Monitor service delivery for quality (compliance and conformance) and performance
• Resolve service delivery issues of non-performance, non-compliance and non-conformance, including improvement and innovation initiatives
• Collect data and prepare contract service delivery reports
• Support the Regional Manager with contract change proposals and undertake procurement to support service delivery
• Compile site-specific risk registers and identify ways to reduce risk
• Contribute to the regional incident management system implementation, business system improvements, the Business Improvement Plan and the regional business continuity plan

Required profile

• Experience in defence or another industry with a similarly complex regulatory framework
• Act Security Licence
• Australian citizenship, eligible for AGSVA clearance / DCAC
• Cert IV or higher in leadership, management or an equivalent discipline, or willingness to complete it

Required skills

• Workforce management: rostering, labour planning and operational demand forecasting
• Administrative competence: systems, correspondence, time management, document control and reporting
• People management: expectations, coaching and mentoring, performance management, disciplinary matters, succession planning and employee retention
• Drafting standard operating procedures and auditing against them
• Strong communication skills adaptable to different audiences
