Business Development Specialist - Environmental Risk Services

About the role

As ALS expands its Environmental Risk Services business, it is looking for a commercially minded Business Development Specialist to drive growth across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the General Manager of Octfolio, you will grow both the Octfolio platform and the Environmental Risk Services business, working with government bodies, utilities, councils and asset owners to help clients move toward portfolio-based environmental risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business growth and adoption of the Octfolio platform across the Environmental Risk Services portfolio
• Identify and secure new opportunities with clients in government, utilities, consultants and major asset owners
• Build trusted relationships with new and existing clients across Australia and New Zealand
• Develop proposals, tenders, capability statements and commercial opportunities
• Position ALS environmental services and the Octfolio platform to meet client needs
• Partner with operational and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities
• Support marketing initiatives, client presentations and industry events
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, report on performance and travel nationally as required

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in business development, account management or strategic sales
• Experience in environmental services, SaaS, government or infrastructure is highly regarded
• Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally
• Eligible to work in Australia (citizen or permanent resident, or able to obtain a valid working visa)
