Business Development Manager - Venue Sales

About the role

Adelaide Venue Management (AVM), South Australia's leading provider of venue management services, is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join its local team. The role helps drive new business, build strong client relationships and secure new bookings for its three main venues (Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium) and events at The Drive.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive sales and revenue.
• Respond to client enquiries and prepare tailored proposals and quotations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to booking confirmation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding client experiences.
• Follow up on leads proactively and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Required profile

• Around three years of experience in business events, venue sales or a similar sales environment.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and securing business.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Client-focused mindset with a strong drive to achieve results.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours.
