Business Development Manager - Premium Flooring

About the role

A renowned supplier of high-end timber flooring solutions is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Melbourne CBD. You will grow new relationships from an existing database and proactively identify new clients and business opportunities. The ideal candidate has established networks across property development, tier 2 builders and design and build groups in the commercial and residential sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage with key decision-makers in the design and building industry
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, leading to repeat clients
• Respond to and close new sales inquiries with a high level of service
• Identify opportunities to maximise order profitability
• Prepare quarterly sales forecasts
• Develop and deliver pitches and presentations to designers, architects, builders and project managers
• Represent the company with integrity and professionalism

Required profile

• Proven sales experience within the design or construction industry
• Deep understanding of building product sales lifecycles and ability to manage your pipeline autonomously
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, results-oriented approach
