Business Development Manager – Pharmacy & Aged Care

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Business Development Manager to accelerate market penetration and build sustainable partnerships across the pharmacy and aged‑care sectors for our Avitum division. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing – Ambulatory Care, you will combine strategic planning with hands‑on sales execution to grow our premium portfolio of wound, urinary, ostomy and infection‑prevention products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to meet revenue targets and increase market share.
• Map, prioritize and nurture relationships with procurement managers, pharmacists, C‑suite decision‑makers and aged‑care providers.
• Lead joint business planning, account reviews and product introduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Avitum distributors, Marketing, Customer Service and Operations to launch campaigns and education programs.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce CRM.

Required profile

• Proven business development or sales experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
• Deep knowledge of the Australian pharmacy and/or aged‑care landscape.
• Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills with senior commercial and clinical stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data insights into proactive sales pipelines.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and capable of working autonomously.
