Business Development Manager – Major Projects

About the role

Clevertronics, the world leader in emergency lighting, is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager – Major Projects to identify and secure new project opportunities, strengthen key industry relationships, and grow market presence across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across major construction and upgrade projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, wholesalers and key decision‑makers.
• Develop and deliver strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Prepare and present professional sales presentations, proposals and product solutions.
• Provide technical and commercial advice to help customers select the most suitable Clevertronics products and systems.
• Project manage customer opportunities and act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements in line with company objectives.
• Collaborate with sales, commissioning and other internal teams to support successful project delivery.

Required profile

• At least five years’ experience in business development, sales or a similar role within the electrical, wholesale, construction or another technical industry.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long‑term customer relationships.
• Strategic thinking, commercial awareness and the ability to turn opportunities into actionable plans.
• Current valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Excellent organisation, presentation, negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
