Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will focus on Queensland, identifying and securing new opportunities within the waste and recycling sector. You will prospect, cold call, attend meetings and respond to tenders while building strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and generate new business leads across retail, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, property and government sectors.
• Conduct cold‑calling, face‑to‑face meetings and networking to understand client needs and propose suitable solutions.
• Manage your own sales pipeline autonomously and pursue opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and respond to tender opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or B2B sales, preferably within waste, recycling, manufacturing or a related industrial environment.
• Demonstrated track record of generating new business and meeting ambitious sales targets.
• Confident in cold calling, prospecting and face‑to‑face selling.
• Self‑motivated, commercially minded and able to work independently.
