Business Development Manager – 12 month contract (VIC/TAS)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue in optical stores across Victoria, Tasmania and the ACT on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on partnering with business owners, store managers and eye‑care practitioners to promote Alcon’s vision‑care portfolio and increase contact‑lens penetration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute interaction plans with key decision‑makers.
• Promote Alcon’s product portfolio and services to optical stores.
• Achieve annual territory sales targets.
• Manage sampling, marketing material and in‑market promotions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as KAM, Marketing and Sales.
• Attend conventions and educational events.
• Provide insights and feedback from customer interactions.
• Ensure compliance with integrity and company policies.
• Travel to ACT, Tasmania and regional locations as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of sales experience with a proven record of results.
• Preferably within the healthcare or eye‑care industry.
• Tertiary education preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to build strategic relationships.
• Willingness to travel across the territory.
