Business Development Executive

About the role

As a Business Development Executive at Ovolo Brisbane, you will drive new corporate, meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) business, building relationships and converting leads into confirmed bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive sales plans to generate new corporate, meetings and events business.
• Identify, prospect and convert opportunities across corporate accounts, conferences, meetings and events.
• Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections and networking activities to showcase Ovolo Brisbane.
• Prepare proposals, contracts and presentations that reflect the Ovola experience.
• Manage the sales pipeline, report activity and achieve agreed targets.

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ experience in sales, business development or customer‑facing roles, preferably in hospitality or events.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with confidence to engage clients.
• Proactive, commercially minded with a motivation to achieve sales targets.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM and hotel management systems (preferred).
