Business Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Business Consultant to grow the volume and profitable margin of our lubricants business in Australia. The role focuses on business development and strong account management with our existing distributor network.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned distributor accounts and build long‑term, trust‑based relationships.
• Develop and execute account plans aligned with distributor and company goals, analysing data to identify growth opportunities.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities, support contract renewals and pricing discussions, and drive channel and product portfolio strategies to meet volume and margin targets.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, supply chain and technical teams to ensure timely delivery and meet distributor expectations.
• Handle distributor and customer issues, complaints and escalations, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.
• Prepare regular account performance reports, present updates to stakeholders and provide market insights, competitor activity and customer feedback.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and maintain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with distributors and customers.
• Strong analytical mindset to analyse performance data and identify growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for contract renewals, pricing discussions and issue resolution.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional internal teams.
