Business Analyst – Curriculum

About the role

The Business Analyst, Curriculum will work within the Curriculum Quality Unit to analyse and improve curriculum processes, systems and data across the university. You will collaborate with faculties, business teams and the Pro Vice‑Chancellor (Education) portfolio to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, examine and validate business needs through workshops, interviews and data review.
• Map current and future processes, identify gaps, risks and dependencies.
• Define problem statements, benefits and success measures for prioritisation and business cases.
• Translate needs into clear functional and non‑functional requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Engage stakeholders to build alignment, balance competing priorities and communicate recommendations.
• Support delivery through design clarification, testing, UAT, go‑live readiness and change training.
• Review system data, configurations and workflows to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Provide subject‑matter input into system enhancements and curriculum policy analysis.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Information Systems, Education Technology) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience as an analyst in a complex environment, preferably higher education.
• Knowledge of curriculum management systems and enterprise platforms.
• Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends and apply insights to decision‑making.
• Excellent verbal, written and stakeholder communication skills.
