Building Planner

About the role

CPB Contractors, part of the CIMIC Group and Australia's largest infrastructure construction company, is hiring a highly experienced Building Planner for its QLD/PNG Business Unit. The role sits within a project team and provides planning and project controls expertise and advice, keeping reporting and understanding of project program status up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project programs for both the Planning and Delivery phases, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project progress.
• Work with Project and Construction Managers to integrate construction methodologies and sequences into the program.
• Prepare and maintain basis of schedule documentation, including 4D modelling and build sequence diagrams.
• Identify and mitigate program risks and constraints, and support tender program development through detailed planning analysis.

Required profile

• Experience on complex, high-value construction or infrastructure projects.
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in planning software such as Asta PowerProject, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
• Understanding of or exposure to 4D planning and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
