Bookkeeping Manager - Offshore Division

About the role

Aureus Financial is hiring a Bookkeeping Manager to start, lead and grow its offshore bookkeeping division inside its Virtual CFO practice. You will not inherit a finished team: you begin with a small group and build it. You will own the accuracy and timeliness of every client bookkeeping file, recruit, train and lead the bookkeepers, and design the systems and quality checks that let the division scale.

Key responsibilities

• Run reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and BAS/IAS preparation across the client portfolio.
• Review every file before it reaches a client or the compliance team, catching errors first.
• Recruit, onboard and manage the bookkeepers, running coaching sessions that build real technical skill.
• Build SOPs, templates and quality-control checklists so the division is repeatable.
• Promote Xero, QBO and automation improvements that cut turnaround time without cutting accuracy.

Required profile

• 5 or more years of Australian bookkeeping experience.
• Hands-on experience with BAS, IAS, STP payroll and superannuation, beyond AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Experience leading or supervising a remote bookkeeping team, with team size and duration stated.
• Direct, organised, able to work directly with senior leadership.
• Comfortable with Sydney-aligned hours, including at least 5 hours of daily overlap.

Required skills

• Confident hands-on use of Xero and/or QuickBooks Online; Xero Advisor certification is a plus.
• Last line of defence on file quality.

What we offer

• Base salary of up to PHP 80,000 per month or higher for the right candidate.
