Bilingual Incident Management Engineer – AWS Incident Detection & Response

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a bilingual Incident Management Engineer to join the Incident Detection and Response team. In this global, 24x7 role you will work closely with enterprise customers to monitor critical workloads, detect incidents, and lead rapid response efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor onboarded AWS workloads around the clock and engage customers within five minutes of a critical alarm.
• Develop and maintain customized runbooks and response plans for each workload.
• Lead communication, emergency response, and technical resolver engagement during incidents.
• Drive incident resolution, provide status updates, and ensure post‑incident reviews are completed.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their environment and improve incident handling processes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical acumen with a proven track record of delivering results in complex technical environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Self‑starter able to operate tactically and strategically with high attention to detail.
• Leadership presence and ability to work with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Passion for technology and continuous learning, especially within AWS.

Required skills

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
