Bar & Wait Staff - Part Time or Casual

About the role

IL Lago, a new Italian restaurant in Mango Hill, Queensland, is opening in early March and is hiring food and beverage staff as well as kitchen staff. The role is part time or casual, and juniors are welcome to apply. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction, providing excellent service with a cheerful and friendly manner, and communicating between servers and the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Show customers to their seats and present menus
• Advise customers on the best food and drink choices and answer their questions
• Take orders and deliver them to the table efficiently and accurately
• Attend to the tables and maintain cleanliness standards
• Process payments
• Work as a team with other staff to deliver outstanding service

Required profile

• Proven work experience as a server or wait staff member
• Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers
• Customer-oriented, well organised, patient and friendly, with problem-solving experience
• Good physical condition
• Food Safety Certificate and/or Responsible Service of Alcohol

Required skills

• Working knowledge of cash management and ordering systems
• Teamwork and people skills
