Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Townsville)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ's Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience to customers, addressing their full range of financial needs and goals. You will engage in needs‑based conversations, promote digital solutions, and ensure each customer leaves the branch as a strong advocate for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Drive higher customer engagement and advocacy by delivering exceptional service.
• Support and participate in bank programs and initiatives.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of each customer’s risk profile (‘know your customer’).
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within the branch team.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus, preferably with retail banking experience.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital banking channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Team‑oriented mindset with collaborative work style.
• Good understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
