Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Port Macquarie)

About the role

The Banking Consultant will work in a branch environment delivering a seamless banking experience to customers. You will address end‑to‑end financial needs, conduct transactions, hold needs‑based conversations and promote digital solutions, helping customers become strong advocates for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with a smooth branch experience, handling transactions and advising on financial products.
• Educate customers on digital banking channels and encourage adoption of technology.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within a collaborative team to enhance customer service.
• Drive higher customer engagement and advocacy through personalized interactions.
• Participate in bank programs, initiatives and community activities.
• Maintain a strong “know your customer” approach from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus, preferably with retail banking experience.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital technology and channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to coach peers and contribute to a high‑performing team.
