Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Canberra, ACT)

About the role

ANZ is looking for enthusiastic Banking Consultants to join its Retail Banking team in Canberra. You will deliver a seamless banking experience, helping customers meet their financial goals through personalised conversations and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end banking services, including transactions, advice and product recommendations.
• Engage customers in needs‑based conversations to understand and address their financial objectives.
• Promote ANZ’s digital channels and educate customers on using them.
• Maintain high standards of customer service to turn clients into brand advocates.
• Support branch operations, including occasional Saturday rostered shifts.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with retail experience.
• Ability to build relationships and act as a peer coach.
• Commitment to compliance and risk‑aware ‘know your customer’ practices.
• Flexibility to work casual, part‑time or full‑time schedules.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
