Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (2‑year contract)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience for customers, addressing their end‑to‑end financial needs, conducting transactions, and providing needs‑based conversations. You will work primarily in branch locations, act as a role model and peer coach, and champion ANZ’s Customer Promises to turn customers into strong advocates.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a significant uplift in customer engagement, advocacy and real value creation.
• Participate in and support bank programmes and initiatives.
• Maintain a thorough “know your customer” approach from a risk perspective.
• Ensure strict compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.
• Execute customer transactions and fulfil product offerings according to accreditation level.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus; retail experience is an advantage.
• Experience using and promoting digital channels and technology.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
