About the role

As a Banking Consultant at Suncorp Bank’s Burwood branch, you will assess customers’ financial needs and provide tailored solutions while driving deposit and home‑lending opportunities. The role blends personal relationship building with the promotion of digital banking channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate opportunities for deposits and home‑lending using the agreed sales process.
  • Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager to improve sales performance.
  • Assess customer needs through open communication and recommend appropriate banking options.
  • Process over‑the‑counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers) accurately and efficiently.
  • Support and educate customers on using digital banking platforms, encouraging self‑service.
  • Facilitate digital onboarding for new customers to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Demonstrate a risk‑management culture and proactively identify and escalates risks.
  • Follow Suncorp Bank’s complaint‑resolution process to maintain service standards.

Required profile

  • Demonstrated experience in banking or financial services.
