Back End Integration Developer – GIS Systems (Hybrid, 12‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Back End Integration Developer to join a leading consultancy supporting a major mining client in Perth. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite, and is initially for a 12‑month contract with a strong possibility of extension. You will work on integrating a new GIS platform with existing SAP systems and mobile applications using Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and manage scalable, secure APIs and event‑driven workflows linking mobile apps, backend services and enterprise platforms such as SAP.
• Create and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines in the cloud.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end integration solutions.
• Ensure data exchange complies with security and regulatory standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve production integrations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to code with React and .NET.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services (API Management, Logic Apps, Function Apps).
• Background in API development, event‑driven architectures and secure data exchange.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as SAP, preferably in a mining or GIS context.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
