Back End Integration Developer – GIS Systems (Hybrid, 12‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Back End Integration Developer to join a leading consultancy on a 12‑month contract in Perth. You will integrate a new GIS platform with existing SAP systems and mobile applications using Microsoft Azure, delivering secure, scalable APIs and data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain integration solutions on Azure.
• Build and manage scalable APIs and event‑driven workflows for mobile apps, backend systems and enterprise platforms such as SAP.
• Create and support batch and streaming data pipelines in the cloud.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end integration solutions.
• Ensure secure, compliant data exchange across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise integrations in production.

Required profile

• Proficiency in React.Net and Azure services.
• Experience with GIS or mine‑planning concepts (highly regarded).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure API Management, Logic Apps and Function Apps.
• Background in API development, event‑driven architectures and secure data exchange.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Experience supporting mobile‑app backend integrations and offline‑first data sync.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
