B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (King Air) - Mount Isa

About the role

An established aviation operation in Mount Isa is looking for an experienced B1 / mechanical Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance and operational availability of its King Air fleet. The role covers scheduled line maintenance, troubleshooting and defect rectification on Beechcraft King Air B200 and B300 aircraft, plus AOG support and aircraft and crew ground assistance. The position is open to Australian and international candidates with substantial hands-on King Air experience; a CASA B1 licence is not required initially if an overseas licence or qualification provides a viable pathway to Australian licensing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled line maintenance on Beechcraft King Air aircraft
• Troubleshoot, diagnose faults and rectify defects
• Provide AOG support to keep aircraft operational
• Assist with aircraft and crew ground support requirements
• Coordinate and support third-party maintenance when required
• Manage and maintain aircraft tooling, parts and materials
• Ensure all maintenance follows procedures and safety requirements
• Participate in the local on-call roster

Required profile

• Substantial hands-on King Air maintenance experience, especially B200 and B300; B350 and B360 experience also considered
• B1 / mechanical aircraft maintenance licence or an appropriate international equivalent, with a pathway to Australian licensing
• Ability to satisfy Australian aircraft maintenance licensing and authorisation requirements
• Willingness to relocate to Mount Isa and work in a regional aviation environment
• Work rights: Australian candidates encouraged, international candidates considered subject to visa and sponsorship confirmation
