Automotive Engineering Technician

About the role

Put your automotive expertise to work with Bosch. Bosch is seeking a highly capable, hands‑on Engineering Technician to join our team at the Automotive Australia Research Centre (AARC) in Anglesea, Victoria. You will work alongside engineers on advanced vehicle development programs, supporting testing, prototype vehicles and the day‑to‑day operation of a specialist automotive engineering facility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide vehicle technical support for development and application activities.
• Prepare, maintain and service development vehicles, test equipment and instrumentation.
• Support engineers with vehicle development, testing and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across vehicle systems and components.
• Fabricate test fixtures and components using workshop machinery.
• Manage storage of prototype parts, equipment and consumables.

Required profile

• A recognised Automotive Technician qualification with significant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems, ideally in a development or testing environment.
• Proven workshop, maintenance and fault‑finding capability.
• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and use initiative.
