Auto Electrician - Underground Mobile Maintenance

About the role

The Underground Mobile Maintenance team at Agnew Gold Mine is looking for an experienced Auto Electrician to deliver maintenance, fault-finding and auto electrical services on a wide range of heavy mobile equipment used in underground mining. The position is on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of mobile equipment, ancillary and light vehicles.
• Provide accurate maintenance knowledge and expertise to minimise downtime and production loss.
• Assist with training and mentoring of apprentices and trainees and supervise contractors.
• Requisition parts and materials and process maintenance orders.
• Develop, implement and maintain procedures so mining plans are delivered consistently, on time and efficiently.

Required profile

• Australian recognised Auto Electrical trade qualification (essential).
• Previous mechanical maintenance experience in an underground environment, with knowledge of mining technologies and RCT equipment, or equivalent.
• Valid manual driver's licence.
• High-risk licence with forklift, RB and DG; EWP licence desirable.

Required skills

• Automotive air conditioning licence (essential).
• Experience with Epiroc M7C and E70S drills, MT65 trucks, CAT R2900 and 2900XE loaders, Sandvik DD421 and DD422 drills, and preferably Volvo 120F ITs and Normet charge wagons.
• Creating work orders and backlogs for defects and future repairs.
• Previous SAP experience desirable.
